K&A took four chest x-rays of our family member while he was in a nursing home.  The x-rays occurred between Sept 2016 and Oct 2017.  Later in Feb 2018, Crouse Hospital took a chest x-ray which revealed both old (healed) and more recent rib fractures.   K&A did not report any fractures in the four x-rays it took. We had a physician look at the actual images; he saw obvious rib fractures.  We notified K&A in writing about our findings.  Ken Andrews (K&A President) and Obie Burger (Director of Operator) replied by email that they would have radiologists re-examine the x-rays and get back to us.  After we initially notified K&A of the situation on March 8, 2018, it has not informed us whether the re-examination was actually done and what the results were.  We are posting this review out of serious concern that other patients may have unknowingly been subjected to the same failure to report abnormalities shown on x-rays.  We are willing to share more details with any individuals or nursing facilities that believe they may been or can be affected by the same or similar circumstances.  You can contact us via email at [email protected].  M.M.
