One of the best dog parks in North America; perhaps in the entire world! This park is owned by Erie County but is operated mostly by a volunteer board of directors who is dedicated to its success. This park allows dogs to go off leash on a 100% disconnected island in the middle of the Tonawanda Creek. A gated foot bridge connects the parking area to the one entrance. The park also has bathrooms and a water station for cleaning muddy paws (both seasonal). The only downside is that this park is often closed for a few months typically between mid/late winter and mid/late spring. The reason for this is to allow the turf to grow again.

Reassess our homes to higher value AND hike the tax rate to 11% this past year and can't open the park in April? Come on.
