Sam and his wife Beth are AirBNB hosts in Buffalo.My fiancé, future brother-in-law, and sister-in-law recently stayed at this apartment without any issue, incident, or rule violations (we were barely there the entire weekend). We abided by all check-out procedure rules and left the place in a clean(er) condition than when we arrived. After checking out, we provided constructive feedback to them privately and left a public positive review. Their apartment was not clean and much of the furniture was old and cheap. This AirBNB is listed as an "AirBNB Plus" which is supposed to offer a level above the typical listing. Instead of offering to waive my cleaning fee or providing any apologies for the disappointment, they thanked me for the feedback and said they would take it into consideration. I decided to leave it alone because it wasn't worth making it into more of an issue. The following day I received a call and email from AirBNB learning that Sam and Beth proceeded to report a false "safety related abuse incident" against me, resulting in a termination of my AirBNB account with no explanation, details on what was reported, or opportunity to defend myself other than saying I have absolutely no idea about what they are referring to, that we had no personal interaction with the hosts or neighbors, and that I was hoping this was some big mistake. Sam and Beth refuse to respond to calls, text messages, or social media messages where I'm politely requesting an explanation and the withdrawal of these slanderous claims. I will continue to escalate my case with AirBNB, demand a full refund for the nearly $1000 reservation, and report Sam and Beth to ensure no future guest that dares to offer negative feedback about their property risks experiencing what my family and I have. Sam and Beth's malicious actions have consumed my life for the last 5 days, resulted in the termination of my honeymoon reservations and have left me feeling helpless as I try to navigate my case through a massive company not willing to listen to my side. We are also considering taking legal action against Sam and Beth if we do not make progress with AirBNB. If I were an organization considering the services that Sam and theBREWROOM have to offer, I would want to know the true character of the person behind these services and have a full appreciation for the terrible things he is capable of doing to complete strangers.
