Family Dollar

The staff are nice and the store is 5 minutes away from my house. There is a lot of bums that hang around the area, so make sure you have protection on you. They're mainly at the utica station across the street and outside the store doors at night. So watch your back around there. Other than the bums, that area is pretty chill. I hang out with my friends at the Mc Donalds down the street and sometimes in the Utica Station

Consumers beware. I went to this location and purchased a few items including some popcorn. When I saw that the price on the item was higher than the price o shown on the shelf, I mentioned the difference to the cashier/manager and she told me that she could not override the price and the other cashier said they were exempt. I found that odd because ALL retailer must honor the shelf/sticker or advertised price not the scanner pricing. I tried to explain this to the cashier/manager, to no avail. I called the Erie County Weights and Measures office. I was informed that Family Dollar is exempt from the Super Refund but not from honoring listed prices. I went back to this location to pick up a few things and I mentioned the difference that I was expecting to be refunded. The cashier/manager was the same and she didnt know anything about it. So, l waited for the other manager to return. She was aware of the issue but still insisted that Family Dollar is exempt from honoring the prices on the shelves. The store is NOT exempt from honoring prices on shelf/stickers/advertisements.
