Friendly Chimney & Home Maintenance

If I could give 10 stars I would!! A squirrel decided to make a nest in our Chimney, which was blocking our flue pipe, to our Hot water tank, which was producing Carbon Monoxide. I called Joel and he immediately came out the next day after speaking with him. We had a 100% blockage!! He removed all the debri! He soon realized that our Chimney liner was torn to shred by the squirrel and not to mention, the squirrel popped our Chimney cap completely off. Joel and his Dad, Dave came the next day and installed the new Chimney Liner and Cap. He sealed the cap and reinstalled our flue pipe. Joel also noticed that some of our mortar from my bricks on our Chimney had deteriated, and should be replaced in the Spring. Joel and his Dad have great prices and do Quality work! We will definitely use your service again! Great job guys!!

During the heavy snow storms and cold of January '24 in Buffalo... the heavy snow and ice caused some major issues with carbon monoxide backdrafting into my basement from my hot water tank and furnace vent on the roof. Before knowing that was the problem I got both units looked at by plumbing and HVAC companies, after it was apparent it was actually a venting issue through my chimney. I called multiple chimney companies and most said they couldn't even get out to my house for more than a week. Well, from the moment Joel returned my call, he was at my house within 30 minutes to help figure out the issue. He figured out quickly that my vent cap/chimney was not high enough off the roof line and the cap was faulty which was causing the backdraft back into my basement. He said he could go pick up the equipment needed right then and came back to fix my issue and was done in about an hour. I truly appreciate his quick action and great work as I was not able to run my furnace and heat my house for days prior to me figuring out it was the chimney problem.
