Our trip was meticulously planned by Sj-tours pre-COVID. They held true to her word and we finally got to go after a 2.5 year wait. Every detail was perfect, from our fabulous driver, Abdoul, to our many excellent tour guides. We had an immersive and unforgettable experience in this most colorful country.

We resesrched serverel tour companies before deciding to book with SJ-torurs. I was impressed whit the high level of communication that the owners Sami and Joanne " Our trip would not have been the same without our driver Abdoul His enthusiasm. Patience and knowledge of berber culture was immense. SJ-tours chose a high level of interesting riads and guests houses for us.All had 5 star luxe star arohittecfure with anice mix of amenites that were suitable for our family of five.We particularly liked our accommmodations in palmeraie , Marrakech and the luxury camp in the desert. We chose upgraded rooms with views when possible.The guides we toured with in Casablanca,Rabat,Meknes,Fes, and marrakech were excellent.All were knowledgable and spoke flunt English.They were also patient with three young adult children,answering a wide range of questions.We were pleasently surprised to be led by both male and female guides. My wife found it particulary fascinating to converse with the well aducated,female guides who offered an insders perspective about a Moroccan women's role in society. We value cducational experiences highly and are gratefull to have experienced both a craft making workshop on leather book binding and a calligraphy workshop during our trip.Our family also participated in a five-course full day cooking class and saw the sites of the souk come alive after dark.The desert expenence ws reminiscent of a movie .Men in turbans , adorned in blue robes, bread baking on open fire and African drumming , all after midnight, is cold in the Sahara. I could not think of a better way to spend our family holiday. We are thrilled we made it to Morocco. Jun 2022 One very important aspect of Sj-Tours that sets it apart from other tour companies is that Sami & Joanne planned an amazing custom 20-day trip for us. The sights and activities that they scheduled were a blend of what they thought were "musts" for first-time visitors and thoughtful additions that personalized our experiences. Over the years Sj-Tours. has built a team of excellent drivers and local guides all of whom enthusiastically shared their knowledge of the country and culture with us. They work well together with the singular goal of making the trips that they host enjoyable and educational. Given that Morocco only recently opened back up to tourists there were new rules and restrictions around which to navigate. The team did so seamlessly. Each one of the accommodations that Sami & joanne selected was so representative of the locale that we were visiting. They were charming and colorful. Every riad told us a story. This review would not be complete if it did not include a shout out to our driver, Abdoul. His knowledge of all aspects of Morocco both historical and current was nothing short of amazing. And, he astounded us with his expertise in American music and pop-culture. Thank you sSami & Joanne for a magical trip to Morocco.

How luck were we to find Sami & Joanne.Sj-Tours! We are seasoned travelers and mostly prefer to make our own arrangements, but we then splurge on private tours in the cities that we visit. We booked Sj-Tours, for Jewish Heritage walking tours in Essaouira, Marrakech and in Fes, with Smi &Joanne respectively. The tour guides were friendly, kind and knowledgeable. We had many liively conversations with each of them about the similarities between Islam and Judaism. Their drivers were also amazing, always magically appearing the second we emerged from whatever site we were visiting, in comfortable and immaculate air-conditioned minivans, complete with snacks and a cooler full of water. Sami & Joanne was always responsive whenever we had any questions. Thank you for making our incredible experience in Morocco that much more special!
