Brooklyn Surgery Center

Do NOT pay before your procedure. (There are numerous reviews here that I wish Ive seen sooner) The front desk forced me pay my deductible the morning of my procedure. I am now receiving bills from anesthesia, doctor, etc. all showing my deductible not being hit. Turns out that the facility never submitted the claim to insurance, and just pocketed the money. I owed significantly less - and my deductible hasnt even been hit! The billing department never picks up the phone and the mailbox is full. My insurance is still trying to get through to them before taking next steps. At this point Im unsure if this is straight fraud or just incompetence. Please beware.

Are you ready for the 411? Here you go...Had to visit the Brooklyn Surgery Center for an outpatient surgery to fix my trigger finger situation. My orthopedic doctor, Dr. Edelstein is the best and the surgical experience was definitely positive. I LOVED Giuseppe! He was the nurse on the surgical floor and he was amazing. He has great bedside manner and is a pro at making patients comfortable. I listened to him as he went from bay to bay, and from the youngest patient to the oldest he catered to their needs in making them have a positive experience. He is also a good teacher and he worked with a new nurse on the floor to get them acclimated to their tasks. He definitely made my experience so much more tolerable. I would be amiss to not talk about the other staff from the front desk and the surgical room were all a pleasure to be with and added to the positive experience.
