As a parent I couldnt be happier with the experience my daughter is getting at Muse Academy. The daily mix of academics and arts keeps her engaged, energized and eager to get to school.

Our daughter is thriving as a Kindergarten student at MUSE, and we feel beyond fortunate to have found such an amazing school for her. She races out the door every morning, and comes home with a smile on her face every afternoon. What makes MUSE stand out to me: 1) A combination of dynamic arts education and a rigorous academic curriculum. Our daughter is learning dance, music, and drama, in addition to Spanish (daily), literacy, and Singapore math; 2) Small class sizes with a fantastic student-teacher ratio. This helped our daughter feel comfortable at school immediately, and offers personalized learning thats far beyond our expectations; 3) A welcoming environment for students AND parents. School administration and faculty are warm, caring, and communicative, and the school overall feels community-oriented and inclusive; weve enjoyed school events and loved getting to know the other parents. I cant recommend MUSE enough, and look forward to our daughter spending her elementary years at such a special school.

We feel so fortunate to have found Muse Academy. Small class sizes and a personalized learning plan has helped our son break out of his shell and gain confidence post pandemic. Great parent /teacher/administration communication. Muses full- time music, dance, drama and language instruction was beyond anything we could find at our local public or charter schools. Further they offered us a financial package that put this first-class education within reach. I highly recommend Muse Academy to anyone looking for an individualized, well rounded elementary school.

Will try to leave as objective a review as possible. We sent our son to MUSE for PreK 2021-2022. The positives were: - Lead teachers who he loved - A great Spanish teacher, music teacher, and dance teacher - Wonderful friendships and parent group The negatives: - No outdoor space - Terrible/virtually non-existent communication from admin - Low re-enrollment, including the co-founder's own child. They've now had to merge 2nd and 3rd grade because of low enrollment. Only 2 of 14 students in pre-K are continuing to K this year. - Child endangerment: The co-head of school apparently took a child off campus with her on an unauthorized trip and the same child was late to class on multiple occasions because the same administrator took her into her office and teachers couldn't find her (this per teachers). She was fired but the reason was never communicated to parents and the above was not disclosed (I was told by a teacher). - Low/no pool of substitute teachers so anytime there was an absence of a main teacher, they pulled Spanish, music, or dance teachers to cover. This meant no specialty classes were offered at times for a full week, even though their website says Music, Spanish, Dance and Art are offered daily (in our year art was never even offered). This was again, never disclosed to parents and I was informed by a teacher, but the head of school confirmed it was the case. - The head of school (Dr. Kramer) quit at the end of the year, was replaced by a woman (Anne Glass) who fired the Spanish teacher Ms. Amanda (she demanded the teacher cancel her summer Spanish camp with less than 3 weeks' notice, which Muse families had enrolled their children into and the teacher would not cancel), fired one of our favorite teachers who co-taught the camp for the same reason, and subsequently the dance teacher also quit. Per reviews from her last school, she 'berates staff' and is emotionally labile. My personal experience with her is that she ignores my emails. - Even though the pre-K students had learned a full Spanish song to perform at the end of the year, they would not allow the students to perform it after they fired Ms. Amanda, even after another teacher volunteered to supervise. The end result was a very underwhelming end of year performance. Full disclosure, I am currently in a dispute with the school. We re-enrolled our son in the spring, before all the above negatives came to light. Based on the above, our argument is their contract is not valid, since they advertised a curriculum they did not in fact deliver, and when we signed we were not privy to the information and/or it was actively withheld from parents. Even though we are trying to exit the contract, the new head of school completely ignores my emails, and they reported me to A COLLECTIONS AGENCY, despite the fact that I DO NOT OWE a balance currently. Even if I wanted to, it's impossible to cancel payments through the TADS website, which is the tuition collection system they use. They are desperate to keep families imprisoned in their contract I suspect because they have no money and the school will inevitably implode. Add to this their unprofessional behavior and for better or worse, I do not think they will last.

MUSE came on my radar when I first heard of its unique arts integrated curriculum, and though I will admit it was not easy to find many online reviews from existing families, I was lucky enough to e-connect with an existing parent that was graciously helpful in providing me with extensive feedback that assured my decision to enroll my daughter this past Fall. We came looking for something different from traditional academics offered at most other private and public schools and found that along with a wonderful community of down to earth families from diverse backgrounds and talented staff that are warmly engaging. The latter remains the reason my daughter looks forward to school each day, and witnessing how much she has thrived academically this past year within an environment that offers enrichment in arts that captivate her interest has given me much gratitude as a parent.
