Ive gotten some surprisingly poor results considering Griffins reputation.
A good handful of rolls Ive sent in over the past year came back with huge puncture marks on the last frame, basically ruining the photo (see examples).
When I eventually asked the person at the front desk about them, she insisted that the damage is unavoidable in the loading process and that I should turn on some (nonexistent) setting on my camera to leave some space at the end of the roll. Not only does this setting not exist, but the fact that this damage only happens sometimes despite me using the same camera and film stock should indicate that the problem is likely in the way theyve handled my film.
It was disappointing that they couldnt take responsibility for the damage and offer reassurance that it wouldnt happen again. If I had an especially important roll I needed for personal or professional purposes, I definitely wouldnt take the chance with Griffin again.
