We have been part of Northside for the last 5 years and we couldn't love it more. We love the project base learning which keeps the children engaged in regular curriculum learning with something that can still keep them interested. The administration and teachers are caring and extremely engaged in the community. A very supportive PA gouge which organize a lot of extra curricular activities. Every morning children are welcome with their first name, everybody knows each kid by name and give them the proper greetings. The small classes help also focusing on each child strength and 'need for help'. We really love it.

Terrible school, my son was put in a princess dress. They push gender identity on 2-3 year olds. Disrespectful teachers and principle. I would not recommend I pulled my son out 5th day of school and they kept my tuition.

Our son is in 2nd grade and has been at Northside since age 2. All of his teacher have left lasting impressions on our family and on our child- the small classes allow for hands on learning and personalized attention, and the collaborative work between classes means its never "too small." He loves integrated science and art- where the project based curriculum gets tied into all his other subjects. Last year their 1st grade class studied fire stations, and when construction workers blocked an exit in our home, he pointed it out to me as a safety hazard and we had the building fix it. His learning goes beyond the classroom and basic curriculum. Northside is teaching our son to be a lifelong learner and better citizen!

Was at the Grand Street playground today with my son. As usual this school is using this small playground as its personal space. They come with three classes at a time, older kids so only two teachers per class, and not all the teachers even watch the kids. The playground gets so crowded the kids are tripping and crawling over each other. I approached one of the teachers, and quite nastily she told me there is nothing she can do since she is not in charge, but paradoxically every teacher makes the decision about which playground to go to. She told me to call the school and speak with the director I did call the school but the secretary did not put me through to the director. This happens almost every time we are there at around 11-12pm. They just keep coming with different classes. And not allowing the people that actually live there and want to enjoy the playground to do so. This is a PRIVATE school using a public space disrespectfully and not even caring!
