Great and excellent school

This is a nasty place with nasty people. I'm a former student and I was tortured for transferring in from public school. They are very stuck up and think those who aren't like them are beneath them. Don't even get me started on the sexism. I was condemned for having dreams beyond being a wife and mother. The only speckle of good that came from my attendance here was that I am now more critical of organized religion. If any place can make you abandon organized religion it's this place. I'm so grateful I only spent 2 years here and got to transfer to a REAL school.

Pros: We were seeking a Christian school that focused on academics as well as giving the children a great spiritual foundation and we found it! I'm not sure if they know it but the best thing about ICS is how much the teachers care about the spiritual, personal and academic growth of each child. When the parents congregate we all discuss that the personalized level of care towards the students studies, behavior and spiritual growth is phenomenal. It is such a pleasure to know that we found a diversified school that matches the spiritual grounding and academics we seek as parents. Challenges: - I wish they would launch more sports program but they often take the kids to the park right across the street - In comparison to the Public School curriculum, it sometimes seem they are either ahead or behind. If you are cool with respecting when their curriculum teaches a topic or subject, you will be fine.

This church has been welcoming not only to my family but the Deaf community. It is great to worship in so many languages that are used here. The kids program is outstanding and has led our kids to a great journey in discovering God and His grace. We appreciate the staff and volunteers who make this place happen!
