Mariya Rozenfeld, DO

This was my first visit to Dr Rozenfeld. Her staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Dr Rozenfeld was a pleasure. She was gentle, kind and answered my questions. I felt like I could talk to her without feeling like I was bothering her. The follow up on the Langone portal was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend Dr Rozenfeld.

My appointments with Dr. Rozenfeld are always great. She is very kind and knowledgeable. I always know what is going on because Dr.Rozenfeld makes sure to explain to you step by step what she will be doing. She treats her patients with such respect. It is very easy to feel comfortable with her. Even the workers at the front desk are super polite. The office is clean. If I could give more than five stars I definitely would.

Dr. Rozenfeld was the 2nd doctor I saw. Told me that my first doctor was horrible and diagnosed my PCOS incorrectly and that she was basically negligent. But honestly, she didn't do any better. I had pain which sent me to the ER and when visiting her the next day, I was told that it could've been 3 things: a hernia, my body overproducing a gland or endometriosis. I asked her to clearly explain what was going on to advocate for myself and she was extremely rude. Essentially, without any other exam or blood drawing beside palpitating my stomach she said what she said was all that I could do which was either to have surgery or to go diagnose a hernia. I left and went to my gastroenterologist who said that none of my signs pointed to a hernia and was confused why I was recommended to go. Going to my 3rd obgyn consult, she clearly diagnosed what was going on in an hour after checking my full medical history, drawing blood, as well as a full exam. I don't know what it was about me, but Dr. Rozenfeld seemed fed up with all of the questions I was asking and I didn't feel very welcome. She was very quick to criticize everybody else and pass the torch which was my case onto somebody else. I felt like she didn't take my questions seriously when she is a supposed exprert in this field. I had valid concerns and as someone who is trying to take control of her health after being overlooked, this was very disheartening and I believe she adds to the problem of misdiagnosis among black women. The ONLY reason she gets 2 stars is because all of the staff at the Ave P office. The nurses, support staff, and the people behind the desk were absolutely nice, caring and helpful. But, I would not recommend this doctor at all.
