Awful experience. 6/16/2021 My wife, first time pregnant, had an appointment on June 7th, 10am. She was notified around 9:40 am that her appointment was moved to 2:45 pm, because doctor was expected to come to the office at 12pm. Than 2:45 pm appointment was canceled as well, doctor didn't came. Her next appointment was scheduled for June 14th, which also got canceled. On same day, June 14th we did ultra sound which was supposed to be 10th week of pregnancy but found out that fetus stopped developing approximately 2 weeks ago. Just a reminder - first pregnancy. So I called doctors office, yesterday, June 15th because no one from dr. Rindfuss' office contacted us and we didn't know what to do. I got in touch with his offices, both locations 18th Ave and Kings Highway in Brooklyn. I told them that we need to see a doctor asap, because it's 2 weeks since fetus died. It is also a risk of blood infection. In response I heard "Doctor is not available. The earliest available day for appointment is Monday, June 21st, but you should call Wednesday and maybe doctor will make an exception for you". Also, when I said about 2 canceled previous appointments, they said that doctor was on vacation that week. So here a couple of questions: 1- if you are going on vacation, why do you make appointments for these days? 2- if you are on a vacation, isn't someone supposed to cover for you? 3- if your first time pregnant patient calls because she just found out that her baby died and she is freaking out and scared is it so hard to get in touch? Or at least have one of your nurses to call? Today is June 16th 3:01 pm. We just finished our talk with a different doctor and still no word from Rindfuss. Good job Rindfuss, great support, thank you. 6/17/2021 Since I can't write a response, I'll just update this: Apparently you care enough about your reviews and you are so nice to give me a generic response with "your love" here, in public reviews where people can see it, but still no personal touch. I just hope what happened to us won't happen to any of your patients. And by that, I mean being totally ignored by doctor when you need him. You know, negligence is a very dangerous thing, especially when you call yourself "a doctor". And this "Please be assured that we are dedicated towards the care of our patients" sounds like you are mocking me. I am assured by experience I have. You've proven your dedication already. Think twice before say something. P.S - I don't know if this response was written by someone from NYP or by Rindfuss's office, but to clarify- this is not a review of NYP hospital. It's a review of experience of "being cared" by Richard Rindfuss

Get you a doctor you can brag about !! Dr Rindfuss is that Dr. . He is amazing beyond words. He is a passionate Dr that truly cares about his patients . You never feel rushed . He listens and never interrupts , never makes you feel silly for asking certain questions . I recommend him to everyone all the time . I never write reviews but for him I will write it across the board because he is just that . He is a blessing to the medical field of Ob/gyn.
