The Brooklyn Tabernacle
The Brooklyn Tabernacle is a multicultural, nondenominational church in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, with several thousand people attending services each week. God has given the church a worldwide platform to proclaim the gospel through the music ministry of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Central to the outreach of the church has been a strong emphasis on prayer, through the Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting and the Prayer Band, which is devoted to interceding for needs from around the world.

I visited the church July 2011 had my best Worship Experience ever. I will be back soon hopefully with the world acclaimed Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir fully back,

The pastor seems sweet and I truly enjoy seeing how much he knows about other cultures, mainly because he is leading a multicultural church (this also shocked me).
I don't know how long I'll be in NY but I am happy that I finally found a place of worship that feels like a community - a functioning body!
