Palone Bros Air Conditioning

I paid $250 for them to come look at an issue with my boiler which I had already identified and explained over the phone. They came and agreed that was the problem and charged $250 for the visit. I was then quoted $1800 for the job. Since I knew the cost of the part and the extent of the labor I called back and spoke to someone who said I because of the BTUs of my system the part I needed was special much more expensive. Lying through their teeth. I ended up getting a repairman recommended from a neighbor; the part was $350, and 3 hrs of labor on a Saturday plus got a 1 year warrantee with no upfront visitation charge. In the end I paid $250 to find out these guys were trying to rip me off.

Save yourself headaches, stress and money and dont use Palone for your HVAC needs. Just find someone else. My husband and I have been dealing with them for years now and here is a list of everything that went wrong for us. Basically 50k down the drain. - We specifically wanted smart home functionality for our system in our home. Palone ignored this and provided electrical plans for a basic system without smart home functionality. When we realized this, it was too late. All the wiring had been done already and our only option was to pay them again to rip open the walls and install the correct wiring, which would have cost an additional 10k. - Palone did not seal our roof after they penetrated it. A third party HVAC specialist that we paid out of pocket confirmed it was NOT done to industry standards. This has resulted in major water damage in our bathroom. - The HVAC connections on the handler were not insulated even after we submitted multiple service requests where this should have been noticed by Palones technician. This is pure negligence. We again paid out of pocket for a third party to fix this after being told by Palone that they are not holding themselves responsible. I strongly suggest using a different company.
