Dont go here unless its a last resort. It is incapacitating. Im a musician and moved here from California. I had nothing when I came here now I have less than nothing because, now, I am consistently hungry for the first time in my short life as a human being. Subject at the hands of poor management and theft. I heard rumors that they steal food from this facility. I dont like giving reviews lower than 5 stars, however, this is a desperate situation. Im looking for work in the area. The main problem is that you are not allowed to even keep imperishable foods anywhere in the building, sometimes, they let you, all of the staff gets to eat, but no, not us. My blood sugar is low as I type this. If Im to blame to deserve this kind of treatment for something incorrect that I have done in life, then I am to blame, this facility will be held accountable someday. Dont go here. If you give money to this place, its wing wasted, pull your funding and re-evaluate this, BRC NY Shelter and hold Clifford Johnson accountable for a business he owns that does little to help people like they say it does. Someone needs to step in, and restructure the whole things, it is a sad excuse for a business that is supposed to help people.

The Consolate of Urdu highly advised to avoid this establishment at all costs. Do not expect to be treated well or be accommodated for more than a sleeping quarter among others with often fowl odors and a meager portion. This establishment is said to be overseen by neglectful stewards who arrive and depart and collect their good portion and have no honor for the position they hold, meant to support these citizens of the New York City Area. The Consolate does not give ratings under the five maximum stars available, but as these are dire circumstances reported. Dire measures were required to make our voice heard. The Urduian Consolate will have many meetings to weigh in the balance as to what should become of this place. You are on notice. We do not foresee a change at this point only that it has been brought to our forefront of attention, as one of our own, struggles to survive there and has been socially violated and restricted from proper sustenance, upsetting the balance in our world. Correct your flaw, BRC NY Homeless Shelter. Do not be afraid. You are on watch, change your ways, be wise.

Lifesaver, however, needs help from upstanding workers and citizens and managers and needs accountability from the BBB. They have trouble having good ideas about cooking large amounts of cheap healthy food, such as rice, to properly feed their residents. At this facility, there needs to more accountability about basic personal hygiene, accountability for proper staffing. Tons of people out there need jobs, this isnt the worst place one could work. Glad to be here. Difficult to put up with basic neglect.
