        I really didnt want to write a bad review. I made an appointment with Dr. Jacob Rubinov two months in advance, and also took 2 off days from work in advance for the days of the procedure. I asked them to check my insurance in advance. But they called me at the last moment before the procedure and informed me that I had to pay for the procedure. I talked with Assistant Mariana who told me I can cancel your appointment , we have a queue of people here waiting for this procedure. And I don't have time to talk to you on the phone. I am working. Call your insurance company yourself and find out. It wasn't polite. As a result, I called my insurance company and they explained to me that this is a preventive procedure (colonoscopy), and it is free, you do not need to pay anything. When I called and reported this, she was told that I needed to make a deposit of $1000. Of course I refused. Because I dont think its not honest to your patients. You need to be warned about this in advance - preferably at the initial examination, that you are taking a deposit for your procedures. And I would have the opportunity to choose - agree or look for another doctor, and not wait two months and not waste my precious time and health. I was very upset

        10/10 would absolutely recommend again . I came in for a endoscopy and I was extremely nervous, but Dr Rubinov helped ease my concerns . Once the iv was inserted , it felt like I woke up seconds later (about 20 minutes later ) . As soon as I woke up ,the anesthesiologist and accompanying nurses came to check on me and made me feel at home. I was awake and sharing a laugh with the patient next to me before I knew it . Everything went smooth and I had no throat soreness or any pain . DONT HESITATE TO GET THIS DONE. Mr. Rubinov , YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continuously strive to improve our services and ensure the best possible experience for our patients.Transparency in pricing is of utmost importance to us, and we understand how crucial it is for our patients to have a clear understanding of any financial obligations associated with their medical care. As such, our billing department works with your insurance company to ensure that any potential costs are accounted for prior to your visit. All authorizations are obtained a week prior leading up to any procedure appointment. In this specific instance, your policy has a very high unmet annual deductible, and it was confirmed by your insurance company that the upcoming appointment would apply to your unmet deductible. This was discussed prior to your initial consultation and was the reason you were scheduled at our Brooklyn center rather than the Manhattan endoscopy center to avoid higher potential out of pocket costs associated with the surgical center. Any payments collected are applied towards claims not covered. Once claims are processed, any remaining balances are billed, and any credits refunded as was mentioned. Our intent is to always be transparent with our patients, so they do not receive future “surprise bills.” We would be happy to discuss this matter in further detail, please feel free to reach out to us directly via email or by calling us at 718-210-2960.
