Once my 91 year old mother was accepted into Hospice care August 2023, I knew her homecoming would be very painful and not far. Once she passed away I wanted to process the pain of her passing without any concerns about her burial and the lord granted me that wish through Schaefer Funeral Home. I planned her leaving early on with Schaefer and the staff of Greenwood Cemetary. On April 8, 2024 all I did with the family was experience several different emotions as we said until another day to our Queen. We did not have any other concerns. They took care of everything with great care and passion. Because of their emotional and genuine interest in the process we actual left her at Greenwood Cemetary knowing that she was in the right place with Schaefer staff. Thank you I am celebrating her peace, because of them. Could not ask for a better Homecoming, she was even smiling.

A beautiful space, it was so easy breezy nice, and pleasy lemon squeezy working with Ashley. She didnt have sales person vibe, taking advantage of peoples grief. She was cut and dry, efficient, delivering on everything we agreed on. she made this experience so delightful and non-stressful, even when there was stress and drama coming from the family she knew how to handle it with such grace. The space is clean, modern, cozy, comfortable and I love how they had an area for food, refreshments, and all the amenities. It smelled clean and fresh opposed to old musty and deathly. Something Im sensitive to. I definitely will use this funeral home again. in the future because I know more deaths are on its way as this is the stage of life that I am in Where everyone around me is dying.

From the moment you retrieved her body from another state to the way you adorned her, she truly looked like a queen. We extend our gratitude to Ashley and Britney for their assistance with the necessary paperwork, the compassionate young lady who accompanied us during the funeral, and the hearse driver. Your kindness and meticulous attention to every detail will forever be etched in our hearts. We deeply appreciate the care and consideration you provided. We couldnt have asked for a better experience with my dads arrangements. From start to finish every detail along the way was handled with great ease and kindness. The professionalism and genuine compassion we received throughout the entire process made a very difficult time for our family a bit easier. Thank you all for everything. You were wonderful.
