I'd advise everyone to avoid this practice. I was treated like absolute garbage, and have had to spend thousands trying to recover from a procedure I now believe to have been unnecessary - and the risks and alternatives of which were not in my opinion accurately communicated in a way that gave me a basis to make an informed decision. No one should be asked to consent to a procedure leading to a lifelong facial scar under the circumstances I experienced. Completely devastating experience. Update: Since posting this review a while back it would appear Holder has been encouraging patients to post positive reviews to counteract mine. Noting that she has still failed to take any steps to acknowledge what happened to me under her care. Part of being a professional is knowing when you are out of your depth, and acknowledging when your judgment lapse harmed someone. Not something I saw any evidence of in my treatment or in the 10 months since when I have continued to be ignored. While no doubt she can handle basic issues, when something slightly out of the ordinary was presented to her, her judgment was in my opinion very bad, the consequences of which have dominated almost a year of my life now. Don't let this happen to you. I'll also note that I have now completed my fourth round of laser therapy, with an upper east side derm, for the scar this woman caused me. Eight months later, it now looks like a fifth round of the laser and fillers will be needed. All of this could have been avoided had I been treated first by someone else.

My Family and I have been under Dr Holder's care for over 20 years. My wife, 2 daughters and I each have had excellent experiences with Dr Holder over the years. We value her care so much that we prefer to travel from Long Island and Connecticut to Dr Holder's Brooklyn office. We have been unsuccessful finding a Dermatologist closer to us that we appreciate and trust as much as Dr Holder. In summary, my family and I have an excellent 20 year history and enthusiastically recommend Dr Holder. Hiram Matthews

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Holder, her staff, and her practice as a whole. Dr. Holder has helped me with multiple skin concerns and the results have been amazing. My skin finally feels healthy thanks to her. I always feel so cared for in her hands; she takes the time to listen to me and my concerns, and to explain the science behind whats going on with my skin. I trust her completely and couldnt recommend her more.
