Transfiguration church in Maspeth and Annunication in Brooklyn are the two surviving lithuanian churches within the City of New York. Together, they have honored God for some 230 years. We live in dangerous times with attacks growing each day against the police, our security, our children, families, God and decency. Believe in God, believe in America, Believe. The souls of your loved ones who built this great Nation need each of us to carry the torch of freedom and religion so that their contributions were not in vain. Symbols are important for they depict what we stand for. The Vyciai has honored the church and the lithuanian apostliate, the republics of Lithuania, Ukraine and India by having the Kosciuszko Bridge lit up in the colors of each nation. Was an altar boy at this Lithuanian Church and went to their school run by the Dominican Nuns, more than a lifetime ago!
