Always booked but always empty... Not sure what the deal is. Also, Julia was pretty sassy when I was just asking for information.

I wish I had read some of the reviews that were here before. I was super excited to start working in this location, which is walking distance from my house to then found out that the space is unavailable and booked months in advanced. Be very careful before committing and make sure you of the capacity of the location of interest. The space is great on the other hand... just not available.

Great venue but overcrowded . I signed up because it was a few minute walk from my place and then found out there are no bookable desks 2-3 months out (the entire period I intended to use it). Be warned they dont make it easy to cancel your membership. After being duped into signing on solely for a location which I was told was unavailable after becoming a member- I am still being invoiced despite sending emails and calling well in advance to cancel. There is no option to cancel the membership in the app. Facilities are pleasant however this is an dishonest, money-grabbing company that I would not recommend to anyone.

Great spot if you use pay-by-day. DO NOT sign up for a monthly plan with these guys, though.Theyll take your money first, then let you know theres no space available. Everybody who works from this location needs to reserve a desk, room, or private office, because building capacity. Ok, fine. When you use it daily, youll always find a desk available, because they hold a certain percentage in reserve for daily bookers. What they dont tell you is as soon as you upgrade to become a regular member, you lose access to that pool. Now youre competing with all the other monthly members for a different pool of desks, and people reserve them Months in advance. A monthly membership entitles you to make a reservation for a desk if one is available. It doesnt entitle you to space if theres none. Try to work without a reservation, and youll get sent packing, because capacity. Because they apparently dont have any limit on how far in advance you can reserve a desk, desks are booked up for months in advance, because game theory. What this means in practice is youre paying monthly for a space you Still need to pay daily if you want to use. Imagine if equinox did the same thing: told their recurring members yoga class was full, then the room had empty spots because they were holding them in reserve for guests. Im sure when they respond theyll say because capacity, so let me just toss out 3 easy solutions wework could use if they wanted to: 1. Shrink the pool of open desks for daily bookers and give more to existing members (they say theyve done this several times but they havent done the next one) 2. Cap the number of days in advance you can book a desk to eliminate the game theory race to the bottom and give new members a chance to get space by waking up early 3. Be honest in their marketing about the situation youre signing up for Sadly, I doubt anybody is in any hurry to implement these. I received a frosty reception from reception even trying to get to the bottom of this new premium product Id just paid for. If you can work Anywhere Else I wouldnt recommend wework for anything but daily space. (For That, its excellent, ironically. Which is why two stars instead of one.) Theres brass factory down the street, which is a little more pricey (probably because it actually prices in the space scarcity), but excellent, and if you can go a little out of your way, bond collective in greenpoint, which is just a beautiful as wework, and has a lot of space available. Wework is kind of a monopoly, so theyre gonna do what they do cause they dictate the terms. Anyway, theres an honest review from a recent customer.
