Delson or Sherman Architects PC

Delson or Sherman did a complete renovation of my three-story row house in 2007, a mix of serene minimalism, old-school Brooklyn, (skylight of wire glass, subway tiles) and their bold, signature design. My favorite of many D or S touches is the bluestone floor running across the living and dining areas and out through a wall of glass into a small, private courtyard of Japanese maples and ferns. The outdoors feels like another room of the house, a framed square of nature like Ive seen in traditional Japanese homes. Jeff and Perla are pros, using expeditors for permits and a strong network of colleagues from structural engineers to glass and textile artists, not to mention contractors for different budgets. In April 2023 they did a beautiful redesign of lighting in the library. (see picture below). Clearly D or S still values having a great team because it was these folks keeping everything on schedule and chasing me down -- not the other way around. Highly highly recommend.

Weve worked with Delson or Sherman twice - first for a gut renovation of a townhouse, then a smaller project refreshing and doing a little reconfiguration approximately 10 years later. They are a joy to work with. They excel at both the grand vision, and the practical problem solving to keep your project within budget. They are also adept at navigating between a modern sensibility and period details. At the design stage, Jeff and Perla are a great team and fun to work with, bringing in complementary but sometimes different perspectives, that inevitably result in a better outcome. During construction, they are an effective advocate for your interests and work well with contractors to get things done. Highly recommended!

I've worked on many projects with Delson or Sherman Architects as a general contractor and every one of them no matter, small or large, turned out spectacular. One of the main reasons I enjoy working with them is because they always look for most practical and wallet friendly way to overcome obstacles. Easy to work with not just as the contractor but as a client as well considering so many of them return
