Jim and Bernie were the architects for our brownstone ground floor apartment gut renovation and the place looks amazing! From the start of the project they were friendly, easy to work with and came up with great ideas like moving our entrance to make the apartment flow from start to finish. Our apartment had a strange layout and was in desperate need of a new layout and life. They created an open plan kitchen/living room, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom with a new outside metal deck to the 2nd floor, it involved some structural steel work and structural beam work to reinforce the existing floor and wall. The finished apartment is spectacular They are very experienced and were on top of spotting and ensuring any surprises and issues that came up during construction with our old building were addressed. The apartment looks incredible!

Honest, informative and very responsive. I contacted them back in January to ask about a curve cut and James took the time to schedule a call with me to answer all my questions. Regretfully I couldn't go through with my project, but James explained to me in detail why my project wasn't possible. He was honest about everything and if I ever have any other project in the future he would be the one I contact.

Ive barely had the time to factor in all the variables when it came to building out some new locations but these guys work so hard on their floor plans and give them back to you in such a timely manner. 10/10 for professionalism and work quality.

I worked with Jim and Bernie for over 2 years-- from the initial planning & design phase to the final phase of obtaining a certificate of occupancy for a 4 unit condo building (which I converted from 4 rental apts in a historic brownstone, on a landmarked block). I can't speak highly enough of them. Most importantly they were 100% hands-on. At first, they met with my offering plan attorney to discuss initial concerns like sprinkler systems. During the project their designs and modifications were creative, beautiful, and maximized space. Even AFTER the project was completed, they came to assess our Hvac. They never left us out on a limb. Our project was their top priority, they met with us weekly in person, via conference calls, and/or building walk throughs. We always felt confident they would resolve any potential issues that arose from anyone whether it be: landmarks, the DOB, a neighbor, a buyer, the GC, or a vendor. They were extremely responsive and replied to my questions and concerns in a timely manner. We enjoyed & appreciated their persistence, patience, and sense of humor. Bernie and Jim are both very experienced and knowledgeable. They have first hand development experience, they complement each other well with their broad base of knowledge, and they have the ability to remain calm and level headed while presenting creative solutions. You will not be disappointed in their skills or professionalism.
