I went in for a gel manicure. I asked if he can focus on my cleaning more than anything. Did not ask how I wanted it shaped, did not soak my fingers to eliminate the dead skin or hang nails. To focused on the quickness of the job rather than understanding what I wanted. When I spoke up during the cleaning, he got defensive and was a little rougher, kept saying its good now, but it was not! They also charged me for soaking when he already drilled my old gel off wrapped it in acetone for less than 2 mins, to then file it off $39 for a horrible job. Not worth any penny. He also gave me a shoulder massage, after, which by that time I was already fed up and I did not want him to touch me.

It was my first time here, and I loved it. Hanna was great. I have not had my feet feel and look so great. Their pedicures are great. They use hot stones at the end of the massage after the nail polish dries.

*********++++++Danger+++++++ ****** A review from my visit last week. Paradise nails and Spa 2 is not where you should go. Im so infuriated as Im typing this review. This place will shut down, a matter of time, these illegal practices are not sustainable. The place is dirty and they reuse tools without disinfecting them before using them on other people. The tools to brush the feet is the same way, soap swish around and on to the next person, a girl came in because she got fungus from them and her feet were bizarre they tried to shush her and take her away from us and offered her a discount for the fungus which I imagine was not properly dried before putting nail polish on, or something else, her nail was black. They literally forced her to paint them over and told her it will go away and thats not how it works. Thats is so harmful and dangerous. This place will overcharge you, if you havent been here before or other nails salons youll feel like thats normal. I was in my seat when a woman was charged 35$ to soak nails off $35 to soak nails offf?? and another woman was charged 26$ to soak off acrylic nails in order to do a full set. Whats the difference you say, the darkness in skin. She was then charged for acrylic 38$ and on top of that she was charged $32 for gel nail polish all separate charges that are not consistent in my experience. if you want to file your nails down thats also 5-20$ just to file depending on who you are and the nails were medium short. all of these charges depending on the person. If your a person of color and specifically a black person who isnt just about to agree to their bogus terms which are made up on the spot and not posted anywhere in the shop, please go somewhere else and run, they try to appease some customers but thats as collateral damage but they are not invested in the communities they prey on. Also none of these prices are posted in the shop at all. Ive been here when they told a woman were are going to update and post it in the business but a month later nothing and they charge people different prices. Look at the pictures posted clearly, The work is cracked and chipped when they finish. This has got to be one of the worst spots to go to it isnt a relaxing experiencing. By all means please go and visit and give them your business but when it falls apart, remember someone tried to warn you. To top all of this off ive had them lock the door on me after telling me I have to pay a $20 tip and I said thats optional if I feel its needed she locked the door tied her hair up and grabbed the acetone and I was in shock at this point she then goes to say we can do this two ways the police or the boss and I told her to move out of the way. I know for a fact that its an illegal practice to hold someone hostage requesting a tip and threatening physical and chemical violence because the work is subpar. I know Im not the only person who experienced this because it was to casual for them to do this. These places have gotten really comfortable threatening violence on people of color. Ive seen it done at this shop to other people and thought to myself well maybe I dont know the whole story. Im sure there is something else to it although I hear the disconnect around a tip and the amount of it as well was very manipulative and condescending staff.. they will gaslight you so much youd be questioning your name. When it happened all those times i said well it wont be me I do this and that but being courteous and respectful doesnt prevent you from being threatened with violence. You can make a difference by reporting them at the better business bureau and commission on human rights if youve experienced this from them. This is absurd I just cant believe she had some liquid she was ready to throw on my face. Please be aware it could happen to you or a loved one and the damages could be irreversible. Ps I didnt entertain her threats at all I paid over 100$ and told her I decide what the tip is and I left gracefully.

If I could give zero stars I would. These people are extremely racist and they seem very uncomfortable with black skin as soon as you walk through the door. I requested my old nails be soaked off and they said IT WOULD BE $20 FOR THIS. There was no posted pricing for this service, so I felt that they overcharged me. I HAVE NEVER PAID OR HEARD OF A SOAK BEING $20. THEY CHARGE $25 EXTRA JUST TO PAINT YOUR NAILS A COLOR (WHICH IS NORMALLY INCLUDED IN THE PRICE) ON TOP OF THE $65 THAT THEY CHARGE TO DO YOUR NAILS SOAKING OFF AND WRAPPING MY NAILS AND ADDING A COLOR CAME UP TO $110 THEY ARE ROBBING PEOPLE! WHEN I ASKED TO PAY WITH MY CARD THE PRICE JUMPED FROM $110 to $147!!!!!!! SHE SAID BECAUSE OF TAXES AND FEES AND A REQUIRED $17 TIP I SAID THAT WASNT THE PRICE I WAS TOLD AND THAT I ONLY HAVE $110 AND A TIP IS NOT A REQUIREMENT THE WOMAN RAN TO THE DOOR AND LOCKED ME INSIDE, SHE TOOK OFF HER COAT AND TIED UP HER HAIR. THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT BLACK CUSTOMERS THE SUPERVISOR STOOD THERE AND WATCHED THE ENTIRE THING AND DIDNT SAY A WORD TO HIS EMPLOYEE SHE SAID THIS IS WHY I TELL YOU NOT TO LET THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE IN HERE SHE ATTEMPTED TO FIGHT ME AND ROB ME I HAVE BEEN HERE AND PAID AND TIPPED TWICE BEFOREI AM A SUCCESSFUL BLACK WOMAN WITH A CAREER THE DISRESPECT AND TREATMENT I RECEIVED FROM THIS BUSINESS BECAUSE THE COLOR OF MY SKIN IS DISGRACEFUL, HOSTILE, AND ILLEGAL. PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING BUSINESSES THAT ARE RACIST AND HOSTILE TOWARDS BLACK PEOPLE.

Hello. Thank you for posting and allowing us the opportunity to correct a few things about your review. Our store is in a highly diverse area with peoples from all walks of life and our customer base has been and continues to comprise of a diverse set of returning customers. Perhaps the discomfort you experienced was related to loud and disruptive entrance you made or maybe the multiple times you told (not asked) your Nail Tech that they need to give you a discount, or when they used C-Spray and you told them to give you the bottle since there's not a special discount. All prices were checked and cleared by you more than three times before work commenced, if you were not happy with any of these prices you had ample opportunity to decline service and leave, in fact you were asked on two following occasions specifically if the price was ok and if not they could stop. The prices were all agreed on ahead of time if you did not like them you did not have to have the service performed. Somehow you believe that this means that we are robbing people? You knew full well the prices, in your rant to the employees at payment time you bragged about in front of 4 people how you knew the final price the whole time. Not expecting to pay taxes kind of boggles the mind as that is a basic tenant in all 50 states, our fee structure on taxes is posted on every single nail table and on the front desk in clear view. Your accusation that an employee attempted to fight and rob you is laughable. I did hear in the audio recording YOU request to fight the employee several times, asking her to "come outside and fight me". I'm not sure how you didn't notice that the store has security cameras that are always recording so your interaction with the employees is on video from start to finish, which refutes your claims above. You speak of disrespect and treatment but think nothing of the treatment or disrespect you give our nail technicians. You refused to tip, acted extremely hostile and entitled during your service and disrespected our employees. We take that kind of treatment seriously and will not tolerate that level of disrespect.
