    Our initial experience with Westchester Gutter was with Ray, and that was overall positive. But more recently we dealt with others there who were pretty rude and unhelpful. Also they left garbage in front of my house. I don't really expect them to be super friendly but it's fair to expect them not to have give us an attitude, especially given that their service is not cheap.

    VERY UNPROFESSIONAL: Beware you will get a quote and then when they come to do the job, they will raise the price. I accepted this the first time they came out as they claimed the last people had done such a poor job that there was unforeseen work to be done. However two years later, it happened again. Despite the fact that I had spoken to his office ahead of their coming about the cost of the job, Ray not only refused to honor the price but tried to raise the price by almost 40%. When I questioned him about this he simply walked off the job rather than come to some agreement. UPDATE: I appreciate receiving the response below to my review, however I am sorry to say that the explanation provided is a mischaracterization of what transpired. I met you outside BEFORE you looked at my gutters and you began by telling me you didnt agree with the $25 reduction in price that your brother offered me to keep the price flat to your prior visit and that you needed to take a look at the gutters. You then went up on the ladder in the spot that collects the most leaves, lifted a pile of leaves out and declared that not only could you not honor the quote, but that you needed $125 MORE to do the job. I was understandably surprised and concerned by the very large increase in price. The minute I expressed concern about this you said you werent interested in discussing it and would rather just not do the job. Interestingly the EXACT language you use in your response below is what you told me on the phone two years ago when you doubled the price once arriving at my house with the added claim that it was likely because it hadnt been done properly in the past. The point of setting up and agreeing on a price in advance is so both parties can come to agreement ahead of scheduling a job. If this is not something you are willing or able to do, even for a repeat customer, you should be honest up front and say so. If you do not want your brother to make pricing decisions for the company then you shouldnt have him calling people and offering to do so. When the price goes up by more than 45% over the original quote not once, but twice, there is a problem.
