I have over 30 years experience having Moh's Surgery but did notice in waiting room very few patients new what to expect. One man was told nothing and remained in the room in which he had the surgery the entire time. Understand his skin cancer was much bigger than expected. I know with Moh's the healing can get much worse looking before it gets better. Female patient believe her first came out and looked at her partner in shock said I had 13 stiches. I know that feeling and knew she was going to ball. Wish I had her number to call her an say it will get better trust me. My keloids etc took about 8 weeks to flatten and sure in more time will look even better. Think patiets need more pre surgery info like what items to have availble at home for the after care. This way patients can go directly home it is a stressful time and have had over 75 surgeries so I know. I had a haircut knowing the Moh's was on my nose would be 2 months before I would allow a hairdresser near my nose with comb and scissors. I think pre surgery information is just as important as after care.
