UPDATE below: I had a very bad experience with this CPA firm this year. I was referred to them by another client of theirs. I was assigned to Jason Honigman at the firm, to do our taxes. We moved to NY from another state, so our taxes were not straightforward. My first clue that something was wrong was when I was kept informing Jason about how the federal first-time homebuyers credit worked--as we sold our home to move to NY and had been recipients of the credit--but Jason did not know or understand how the repayment process worked once our home was sold. I had to look it up on the federal website and send it to him, despite the fact that I was paying the CPA firm to know this and handle my taxes appropriately. Twice we had to re-educate him about how the credit worked. The kicker was that an amendment had to be filed for our taxes around this credit and because of a mistake they made, we ended up paying twice, resulting in a $500 overpayment. When I asked him to help us resolve this, he said, 'try calling the IRS' and was incredibly rude over email, rather than taking ownership of the mistake and helping us to fix it. I do not recommend this firm nor do I trust them. UPDATE: Heard from Larry Honigman after writing this review, although unable to retrieve the double payment I made to the IRS, he apologized on behalf of the firm and they have made things right.

This firm has been doing my taxes for a few years; they are communicative, timely and very nice to work with. I have also referred them to friends who have had similarly good experiences.

I have been working with Jason at Demilia & Honigman for several years now. I am always impressed by the speed, accuracy, responsiveness and advice of Jason and his team.
