Place tells people to get a refferal, then later says they aren't even accepting patients with refferals. Makes people wait for months without even notifying them after revieving their refferals. What a disgusting way to treat people.

STAY AWAY IF YOU NEED HELP! I went here from 2003-2007 in that time I had 3 different psychiatrists cause they kept leaving and numerous social workers that weren't much help. I did get a diagnosis but I always had to worry about if my meds would be refilled and then they dismissed me early 2007 cause I couldn't make my appointment due to my vehicle breaking on the way there. Now in 2023 I was stuck having to go back so I could get my meds because my new primary care doctor can't prescribe them due to what I was told Medicade, I saw the doctor once in a televisit where she proceeded to tell me in 10 minutes that I don't have what I've been being treated for, for the past almost 20yrs,she wouldn't prescribe the meds I have been on for years and gave me a antidepressants wich I started and was told it would take 4-6weeks to start working, 4 weeks later and I need a refill but got denied because I don't want a televisit, because it over heated my phone and I would rather go in person, apparently the doctor isn't in the office much, I did get a in person appointment for February but they still wouldn't refill the script even though they said they would. Cancelled all future appointments and now going to family and children on main Street,in Binghamton. They seem to be a lot more helpful

DON'T GO IF YOU NEED MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT/SUPPORT!! I moved to the area from another state so I had to find a local outpatient service. Because of the move I focused on getting a psychiatrist for my meds and I would work on finding a therapist from there. This place weaponizes your mental health. Don't go if you need a therapist/psychiatrist and you have substance abuse disorder. The assessment takes two days and at the end of the second day I was told I could NOT have a therapist or see the psychiatrist if i was actively using unless I go to a d&a group and that i would have to get random drug screening. Which is to say that they use your mental health against you if you're having particular MH crisis's, and if you're abusing substances, your in crisis mode and as we know, that can take a substantial amount of time. I did everything they wanted so I could see the psychiatrist, because i absolutely need my meds. I went in for my second appointment with the psychiatrist and the receptionist told me that I was discharged. When I asked why and by who I was told that I DISCHARGED MYSELF!! I absolutely DID NOT discharge myself! They cherry pick services and symptoms to treat then use your crisis mode against you. I absolutely believe that people have walked out of there fully aware that they were turned away and ended their lives. They're killing people and couldn't care less. Avoid at all costs. Go to Cornerstone, they have be so kind and they care about their patients.
