Mr.Rudy inspected our whole home Generac generator install that was done by Albrite Electric of Binghamton NY. Albrite is a certified electrical company and a authorized Generac dealer. Our generator began burning out our home electronics and the transfer switch began arcing so bad it nearly burned our home. A factory defect in transfer switch was only part of the problem. When another inspector was asked to review our installation by Generac this non local inspector refused to pass and certify our system after the transfer switch replacement because multiple code violations and improper installation was so bad that the whole system has to be completely redone to meet code. The new installer and. Inspector could not believe this install by Albrite electric was ever able to pass inspection. Much of our troubles with the defective transfer switch which was easily noted when installed was further increased by poor grounding and poor materials used . The list of inadequacies is long and cost us thousands in damage and reinstall charges. Mr. Rudy called me demanding to know what was wrong. I invited him to come out and view the problems as the whole install was being removed and a complete do over was required. He declined the offer and said he had approved over 40 of the generator installs by Albrite and was very worried about the safety of these now. Pretty ironic the inspector is asking me and my new installers what was wrong ??? This was a horrific experience for me and my family. NYSEG spent countless hours diagnosing our problems replaced a pole transformer and wire to home to no avail it was a very bad and unsafe generator install . The safety features that should have been installed and inspected would have prevented much of the damage done by the defective transfer switch. This inspection left our home in jeapordy and even our lives. Albrite and Mr. Rudy should be avoided at all costs for generator installation and inspection. I pity the owners of the other 40 generators installed by Albrite and inspected by Mr. Rudy . Please heed this post . We found out the hard way.

Didn't use him (John Rudy) because he never got back with me from when I called him at the end of last year ! Called him again two weeks ago, and he said he would get me in next week - still waiting. Going with someone else.

Still waiting for inspection to go to NYSEG not sure if it's the inspector or NYSEG
