Sandra, I am sorry that you were upset with the interaction you had with my office. I would like to take time to explain what happened. You contacted my office looking to have a Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy prepared and executed for you husband. As an attorney, I always advocate that a married couple should each have a POA so that each spouse would have the authority to act for the other in times of crisis. You said that for financial reasons, you only wanted the one POA and the HCP done. My office hours are Monday – Friday, but you insisted that you have a weekend appointment. I don’t normally do weekend appointments, especially for signing documents like this because I also need two witnesses to be present. Because you are the daughter to a longtime client of mine, I agreed to the Saturday appointment. I also decided to include the second POA for you free of charge because I felt it was that important for you to have.On Wednesday, I called to confirm your appointment, and you said that yes you would be there. I then proceeded to prepare the documents and arrange the witnesses. On Friday you called to cancel your appointment because you found someone who would charge you less for the POA and the HCP. Being that the work had already been done, I sent you a bill for the preparation of the documents. While I have no expectation of receiving payment for the bill, it is only fair that If you have already engaged the services of a professional and that professional preformed the work, that professional should be paid for that work.

I am sorry that after six years you felt it necessary to post this review. My only interaction with you dates back to 2013. I represented your sister as the executor of your mother's estate. You were not my client and in fact represented by another attorney. Your mother's estate was settled by Stipulation to the full satisfaction of my client.
