An extremely arrogant maker, Im a collector of Ouds and have been collecting for quite some time. His Ouds are always on workshop shelves being fixed because of errors in production. He always refuses to rectify his sloppy work, and he charges way more than other makers who literally make him look like a novice. I urge everyone to be cautious when dealing with him, especially because he tends to take advantage of his clientele by overcharging. Update: as you can see by the response from John, this is the typical attitude of this immature and amateur luthier. I truly advise everyone to deal with Viken Najarian, Chris Pantazelos (particularly for repairs and restorations) in the USA or Ali Nisadir and Mustafa Copcouglu abroad for quality Ouds. I own Ouds from all of them, and the quality is much better than that of Johns Ouds. Feel free to DM me and I would be happy to suggest better alternatives. Trust me everyone, what John offers is nothing but horrible quality, sloppy work and charging premium prices for no justification other than the fact that hes in New a York.

I was never in doubt or worried about having my vintage Gibson Les Paul custom getting a refret job at ''Lord of the Strings''. A thoroughly professional job! Guitar plays like ''Butta"! Thanks John!

Lord of the Strings is an A#1, most superb luthier. Johns craftsmanship is that of a master. In ancient countries, such craftsmen would be considered National treasures. That's what I think of John and his work. He expertly drilled 2 holes into the base of my small harp in order to attach a foot-base. That took great trust on my part to have someone drill holes into a harp and not ruin it. He aligned the 2 pieces perfectly. Truly, he is a treasure in Beacon, NY and within the Hudson River Valley. Go to him for your luthier work or needs. You won't be sorry. Cordially, Sr. Denise from Graymoor

John is a master - my instrument has never played so well and sounded so good. I'm very happy with the results, and will be asking John to help me with all of my instrument needs from here on out!
