We have been using Michels for well over 20 years and have brought them business from many family members to them as well. Over the past couple of years, there have been multiple mistakes on tax returns causing issues with the IRS that are still not resolved and escalations to Dan or Julie via phone messages and emails have gone completely ignored. This past year, we were excited to start a new business and wanted to go to a trusted source for information and guidance. The contact was made well before the busy tax season started in consideration of wanting to really sit down and talk to someone without being rushed. Yet again, zero responses from multiple phone messages and emails. What started as an exciting journey for the new business turned into a disappointment and we had to seek guidance elsewhere. We believe in supporting local businesses, but we can no longer trust them to be a reliable partner. So, message received, Michels no longer wants our personal or our business accounts business, which also translates to no longer wanting any of our extended family business either.
