The Landings at Meadowood Apartment Homes

This place has gone downhill quickly. These photos are just the last few months of issues with the ceilings. My dishwasher was inoperable for a year before they finally agreed to replace it.

If youre looking to stay in an apartment that makes you miserable, this is the place for you. They claim that it is a non smoking property, but allow residents to smoke marijuana inside the apartments, and the smell will come through the vents into your apartment and make it smell horrible. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything from your surrounding neighbors, including their music, or the garages that are directly underneath you that have motorcycles/or cars with extremely loud mufflers on them. When you mention it to the office staff they just tell you to contact the police. We had to call the police several times for disturbances on the property at all hours of the day. Its a pet friendly community, but no one picks up after their pets outside, and the pet stations are constantly over flowing. On numerous occasions, I was concerned with the water bill being extremely high, and the office staff assured me that we were only paying for what we used. Towards the end of the lease I was informed by the water company directly that it is not metered, instead we are metered as a building and divided by the number of apartments, so even if you havent been home for a month, your still responsible for paying a high water bill so other residents can shower, use the toilets etc. It was another lie told by the office staff. The real kicker was while moving out, we werent in our apartment for a week or so, as we had purchased a home. I went back to the apartment to clean and found things changed inside my apartment. I asked the office staff about it and they denied going into my apartment without my permission, and was once again told to contact the police. The Baldwinsville police department informed me while I filed a police report that this was a common complaint they received from the complex. I contacted corporate to discuss the issue and was never called or contacted back. Living in this place was an absolute nightmare that I would not wish on anyone.

I have moved into The Landings at Meadowood recently, and have been quite pleased with my experience thus far. Allison in the leasing office was great with communicating with me during my initial tour & move, and was more than willing to answer all my questions and move in concerns. The apartments are newer, very nice kitchen, flooring and plenty of storage spaces. Attached & detached garages available as well (super convenient for Syracuse winters)! I have yet to hear much noise from any of the building neighbors. The neighborhood is in a cozy, safe location & overall quiet. My dog enjoys the dog park & we appreciate the many pet waste cleanup stations around the neighborhood. Also looking forward to utilizing the neighborhood amenities such as the pool & on site gym. A suggestion for the website: Was not mentioned this was a non-smoking property anywhere I could find on the website (which I wanted to make sure of prior to move in, but was also an easy question to ask & have answered during my tour).
