Filthy Flats

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. The food was tasty and a really good value. The bright orange lighting was a bit much, but everyone who worked there was really friendly and I can imagine it being a great spot to grab a quick bite and start the party vibes before hitting the bars on the avenue. The bagels themselves are a little softer than regular bagels and this is really what makes them perfect for open faced sandwiches.

What I love about this concept is that you can mix and match the flats, if youre in the mood for more than one flavor. I got two singles for $16 total, & I was full. If youre with friends you could all get diff flavors and mix / match. Buff chicken was excellent. Happy about the new addition to the neighborhood!

The food is good but quality is similar to Subway shops. The service was fantastic! The owner or manager even came out to ask how it was. The tots are great, the Cuban was better than expected but the price....1/2 a bagel with an ok portion of toppings for $11 is a bit insane, even in these times. I wonder why the Brooklyn location closed... Need to make it more affordable and everyone will be going on their way off the train more often. Supply is huge in the area, so you have to create more of a demand with proper pricing.

Just tried out the new spot in Astoria and it was awesome! The vibe was chill, service was on point, and the food? Oh man, it was delicious! Plus, the owner Frank was such a cool dude, adding to the whole experience. I had the Korean open face. A+
