Gerald T Carlo, DDS : WNY Radiant Smiles

I was at my previous dentist getting a filling and he hit the nerve. He then explained that I needed a root canal and that he did not perform root canals. My wife's father uses Dr Carlo so I gave Dr Carlo a call and he was able to get me in the very next morning. This office is is the best office I've ever been to. I highly recommend Dr Carlo.

Dr. Carlo and his office staff are always willing to help, and always provide excellent service from start to finish. I would highly recommend to anyone, he is a great dentist.

Best Dentist and Staff Hands Down!!!! My husband and I have been coming to Dr. Carlo for decades and this review is long overdue! You will not find a more caring and professional Dentist in WNY. Not only is he amazing but his staff is amazing as well. When you walk into the office you are greeted at the reception area with a warm and friendly smile from Rosemary and made to feel right at home. Her caring nature and attentiveness to you is so welcoming. Everyone here makes you feel like you are part of their "Dental Family" Debbie and Paula are fantastic Dental Hygenists, super professional and thorough, they always let you know what they are doing and are gentle in thier approach to your teeth. I have had cleanings, fillings, crowns and root canals that have ALL been done with Dr. Carlo. The thing is, my husband and I have moved out of state and we still come back to visit family AND while we are here we schedule our cleanings with Dr. Carlo. (We moved out of state in 1995) and any time we need any work at all on our teeth we come back to Buffalo and get it done by Dr. Carlo. Now let's talk about this amazing one of a kind Dentist. Dr. Carlo makes you feel very at ease when he works on your teeth, he will ask you how you are doing throughout the procedure and make sure your are comfortable and pain free. He genuinely cares about his patients and thier well being. You always have his complete attention when you ask a question and he will always make time for his patients. There is not another Dentist I would trust mine, my husband or my families teeth with. I am forever grateful that I found Dr. Carlo those many years ago and am so happy he is still my Dentist. I am a pretty methodical person so when I found myself in need of a pretty expensive procedure, I approached it the way I approach most expensive purchases, I scheduled a few different consultations to see who seemed most capable for the job and also who I personally connect with best. One of them was with Dr. Carlo.I found his office by searching in Apple Maps. I typed in "dentist" and I looked within a few mile radius of my home. Dr. Carlo happens to be less than a mile from my home. Perfect!!His office was able to get me in for an appointment within a few days which was nice because some places I called were scheduling months out. Yikes. I can't wait that long.I was directed to their website and instructed to download, print, and fill out the forms needed for my first appointment (dental/general health history, patient financial responsibility agreements, etc). Done.The day before the appointment I received a call from the receptionist reminding me of the appointment and to make sure I'd been able to print the forms from the website. I appreciated the thoroughness of that.The day of my visit I arrived an hour early due to a misunderstanding on my part. Rather than go home and come back, I decided to wait there. No big deal.The waiting room was clean and welcoming. I liked the way it was decorated and the procedure for check-in was pleasant.Dr. Carlo saw me right away (once it was actually time for my appointment, lol) and he was very knowledgeable. He was kind and seemed nice, and I did leave feeling confident in his abilities. Also, price-wise he was actually on the lower end of all the estimates I received. That's a plus!!However, I do feel you should be aware that he is a very fast talker. I'm originally from the Los Angeles area so I talk pretty fast. But this guy puts me to shame LOL. In a way it made me feel like I was being rushed and I think that, in part at least, ultimately contributed to me not selecting him for the needed procedure.Personally he wasn't a good fit for me but I would and will still recommend him to others.
