    First, I want to stress, that I have been a loyal customer of Allstate for 26 years. When Adam Cohen owned this Agency, he was a gentleman who cares about his customers. Now that it was sold, it has gone downhill. How far downhill? At the bottom of the hill. I was with them up to two years ago. Moved to Florida. returned my plates. I kept one car with them that was my daughters under her address. This past May 2022, I was looking for insurance that would be cheaper than Progressive, who I was with in Florida. Allstate came up. The Call Center sent me back to the Agency I was with on Long Island. I am not an Insurance broker. I do not know the law that you need insurance in the State that your Plates are. And Allstate is a large company. They knew I moved. Maybe they were putting me with a Florida Division but letting the Long Island Agency handle it? They should know. They knew the past. They knew the facts. Two weeks ago, I got pulled over in Florida, and my license plate was taken away because I had a suspended license, which I did not know. I called Allstate Agency, and they tried to resolve it with Corporate. But was unsuccessful. All the time The Allstate Agency knew that that me, having insurance in NY and Florida plates was illegal. Four weeks ago, I sold a car and had them take it off the policy. They knew I had Florida plates. Which should have been the Red Flag. But it wasn't. The agent in the office knew what was going on and it was illegal. That agent NEVER brought it up to Niklolai. So, Nikolai was not aware. When he did become aware, he refused to reimburse me for the plates, fines and cab rides I had to take because I did not have a license for a week. My Reimbursement was $616.00. He refused to pay it. Refused to even discuss it. The buck should stop with him. He is not a standup guy. He did not know what was going on in his office which really disappoints me. He should be aware of everything. We, as consumers have many choices. Choose wisely. Choose a firm that values their customers. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way. After 26 years with the same company. Sad. You work with your customers. You compromise. You make everyone happy. I am not happy. Find another broker. When I sue him (I will), it will cost him more than $616.00!

    Decided to switch to Allstate after years of having another insurance company. The agent Joseph R was very responsive and knowledgeable. Any questions were answered in a timely matter.

    After many years of paying premiums on timefor car and home insurance, my mother, an older person, received a call from Adam Cohen's office, that the family was being dropped from their policy. My mother called Adam to ask why and he did not even give a reason and hung up on her.  For many years since his office has been trying to get back our family's business but we have been treated much better by another carrier for 10 years.  It's a shame because the people that work in his office are nice people. The fact that Adam could not even show the slightest bit of decency, or regard for a long time customer and older person is just sad. Use another carrier, you'll save yourself many headaches.
