I have been a self-taught cellist for about 6 years and was reluctant to take lessons for many reasons, mainly I was worried about being told my technique wasn't correct and that I would need to throw out everything I had learned on my own and start again. Will took a different approach with me, he pointed out what I was doing that was good and helped me to work on aspects of my playing that needed improvement, no judgement, no condescending. Will told me many times how impressed he was at the progress I had made on my own, that meant a lot to me. Will is very knowledgeable and I was able to get all my lingering questions about bowing, fingerings, and how to play more musically answered, questions I was having a hard time finding the answers to on my own. Our lessons were very productive and Will's easy going demeanor makes learning fun and stress free. With Will's guidance I have become a better player than I was just a few month's ago. If you are self-taught like me and are on the fence about getting lessons I would say don't hesitate, get in touch with Will!

Will Hayes organized a string trio consisting of two violins and a cello for our wedding. He professionally handled all aspects of the music selection and hiring of the musicians for the event. We were extremely happy with the outcome and our family and friends still talk about the beautiful music that the trio provided. We highly recommend Will Hayes for his excellent service.

Will is a fabulous teacher and player. He has taught traditional and suzuki with a huge age range making him flexible with so many different learning and communication styles! He is very clear and concise and funny, always with a joke up his sleeve! I have performed with him, taught side-by-side with him, and he has also taught lessons to my young son. As my son says, he is the awesome!

It is such a joy seeing preschool aged children laughing and talking to their parents with great excitement as they leave from their violin lessons with Will! I get the pleasure of witnessing this every week! If you have a child, including very young children, who show an interest in music, consider a stringed instrument with Will.
