Brought in my Callaway Apex Pro 16 5-iron which I hit very well and explained I was interested in a new iron set, keeping my Apex Pros as a backup practice set. Asked to use the Mizuno optimizer to see if the shaft recommendations matched the shaft I was using. If the results were different I could then demo irons in stock with the recommended shaft for comparison. I was told in a surly manner that there is a charge to use the optimizer and that it would be free to use only if I bought the irons first. I was interested in trying the new Mizuno MP-18s and JPX900 pros and compare to the Callaways I have. I explained if I liked them and the shaft agreed with the findings of the optimzer (which I am told are extemely accurate) I would be interested in buying. This reasoning did not sway the sales associate who basically told me to get lost as they weren't giving away free demos. You would think that a customer with $1200 pro-version irons looking to buy new irons would come across as a serious golfer with money to spend but apparently not at Golf Galaxy. If you are a 0-12 handicap do yourself a favor and go to Northway 8 or a local pro shop.

Staff looked bored. Small selection of fairway wood, no Cobra. I did not trust the numbers from the simulator. Wasted of time.
