A quarter of a century ago, actually in 1999, I got a position in Albany NY. My friend living in Albany for a while, recommended me Dr. Harvey Winter at the Cosmetic Dentistry clinic. Her recommendation was extremely enthusiastic, and I followed it. Since that time Dr. Winter fixed many different problems in my mouth, the first of which was making crowns on six upper front teeth. He made me younger and even nicer then I was before. The teeth were not perfectly symmetrical, and thus looked natural. No-one could guess that this was a prosthetics work. Those front teeth are still in my mouth, and during 25 plus years made me happy. Recently I came to Dr. Winter, now at Albany Dental Care P.C., asking him to renew my six lower front teeth (even though I live in Connecticut at this time). The doctor has offered me and considered four different variants of solving the problem and helped me to choose one that was best for me in terms of beauty, reliability, as well as less time and money consumed.

Caring,compassionate and knowledgeable describes the entire Albany Dental Care Team
As someone who is petrified of dentist Dr. Winter and the staff at Albany Dental Care have made a difference in how I approach dental appointments. I have had both routine and advanced surgical procedures and would recommend them without hesitation.

From one doc to another, you're the best! (And your staff ain't too bad either!!)
But seriously when I first contacted the wonderful Diane (then also Kim) with my story about a lifetime dental phobia due to a traumatic experience as a child, they were so empathetic yet professional that it immediately eased my fears.
Then the next step was the zoom call to meet Dr. Winter in which he outlined exactly what would happen at our first appointment (which happened to be the next day), and told me to "sleep well, Tony, nothing bad is going to happen to you tomorrow."
I cannot tell you how important it is to have a caregiver really know you and ""get it" and Dr. Winter is not only the top of the heap in his skill set, but also in his humanity and intuition as a healer (this coming from a Board Certified M.D. psychiatrist with a successful practice).
The next contact was to give me my sedation meds for the following day's procedure, wherein Dr. Winter noticed that my BP was running high.
I have a history of familial (genetic) hypertension which had been well controlled for years. His finding prompted me to connect with my personal physician to begin re-hauling my BP meds.
That will take some time, but as for my teeth, perfect!
The work is already done and I didn't feel (or know) a thing!
I am no longer worried about going to the dentist.
Dr. Winter is not just a dentist, he's a friend.
I wish him and his staff the best of health and the best of what life as to offer!

OH MY WORD!!!! Just got home from big visit! There are not enough stars in the sky to give this wonderful place! The staff are just the nicest, kindest people you could ever hope to meet. They can get appts made here that seem impossible! I'm still holding Lyn's hand in my head,she was so caring and supportive.
Dr. Winter. The man is beyond BEYOND any words even higher than skilled, professional, knowledgeable, funny, kind... a WIZARD. No one could possible be more scared or desperate as I was, and I came out today with a new smile- no, the FIRST smile, I had ever had in my life. What a lovely man, a dentist who helps people be the best they can be, and teaches others about being a TOP dentist vs just an okay dentist. Whatever I can do to help repay him I'll do. I owe him.
