At first I was very pleased. They did the job very quickly. I was so impressed I gave them a tip. But then after the blue tape was removed from the transitions from tile to the LVF the was a big noticeable cut in the transition. It should have been one full strip used. Not 2 pieces spliced together. My husband and I have laid flooring several times. We would have expected better quality work from so called professionals? So I would say it youre a handy person? You could probably do as good of a job yourself. I know we would have. And get a better price on flooring at Lowes or Home Depot. I tried to hire locally for the sake of the towns economy. But maybe its not worth it?

They "USED to be" excellent. The new owners have the least professionalism possible. My family thinks they dont even know what "professional" means in business. Their installation was very poor in its every aspect. The new Finishing Touch workers had zero respect for existing furniture, putting dirty sharp tools on fine finished tables and hand made pristine bedspreads, etc. & showed lots of other disrespects. They were incapable of keeping a single appointment unless they had 3, 4, attempts. They would not show up on schedules made long in advance--and then totally "forgot" (OMG!) to call to cancel, though we had to re arrange our rooms on time. What they did install was non stop grief & anxiety. They had excuses for everything. They were incapable of handling any details caused by previous under layments. We understand the many difficulties of Covid, but none of their screw ups had any relationship to the pandemic. Their overall work was really bad. My sister recently had a kitchen floor installed by other locals. For one, Home Furnishings was great, easy to work with and their installation guy was excellent. It was even no problem for them to get someone to come out to the Mimbres. If you have a brand new house, with absolute straight angles, Finishing Touch possibly, maybe, if they were on their knees praying to the almighty, might be able to install a proper carpet.
