        Room smelled, toilet broke and no response, no breakfast provided as promised, Judy did not approve of our lifestyle choices and made that apparent, very unprofessional

        Noteworthy details: Had a very comfortable stahy in the English cottage. Pastor Gary and Judy are very friendly. Judy made us a wonderful breakfast and had great conversation.

        The owners are very kind, loving and sweet. Room was huge and clean and had all the amenities. Country like setting. Not expensive at all! Will definitely come back if we visit New Mexico again!

        Best BnB in Eastern New Mexico by far! Gracious, friendly, helpful, kind, and thoughtful hosts! We stayed just one night in the beautifully decorated and comfortable English Cottage Room but could have stayed here a week. Portales is a great place to stay, eat, and use as your base to explore this fascinating part of New Mexico. Awesome breakfast and hosts are world travelers and fantastic to share/talk with. I recommend this BnB for honeymooners too.

      When you’re “almost home” but with still too many miles to go today, Almost Home B and B is just the place – for its comfort and warmth, along with magnificent sunsets, will make it seem as though you’re almost home! Almost Home is only one half mile south of the city limits of Portales. Portales is the home of an excellent and burgeoning dairy industry, some of the finest peanuts grown anywhere in the world, and in the middle of ranch country. In addition, Portales and Roosevelt County is a thriving and growing community with both new businesses coming in and a resurgence of the downtown area.
