Such a charming Inn! We were absolute enchanted with this location, the service and decor. We cannot wait to come back to visit. We also love Mittens! Rooms: Adorable decor. Comfortable. Loved the individual decks. Nearby activities: This city is so charming. Kind people. Great hikes. Safe. We will miss it! Safety: We felt safe at all times. Both at the Inn and the city. The Inn has a door that automatically locks, no matter what time of day you felt safe walking the premises. The town also felt safe. Close community.

Overall, this feels like a b&b where they gave up on the b&b part of it and just wanted to turn it into a hotel room. Unfortunately that yields b&b quality rooms which are tiny and have a really uncomfortable bed. Beware that the house has no air conditioning and given climate change this place is pretty miserable in the hot summer months. They do provide a noisy and mostly useless in room air conditioner which accomplishes little except for generating a lot of noise. The breakfast is a serve your own hallway with a toaster. Overall a pretty unimpressive Continental breakfast with the only things fresh are a loaf of bread in a bag and coffee made that morning There are several other rooms which are available to guests neither of which are terribly well organized or useful. The outdoor space has a couple chairs but none that are very comfortable. As in everything Los Alamos, it's clear that the fact that there's no place to stay here allows everyone to charge a lot of money for something that isn't really a very hi-end experience. The location is pretty and quiet and isolated but unfortunately isn't near anything in Los Alamos Sadly, if I came back I would pay the extra money to stay in two of the overpriced standard hotels in Los Alamos. But more accurately. If I could avoid Los Alamos i would.

We stayed her a couple separate times for a few days each time while visiting our son over the summer (he was working at lab). Matt is so friendly to work with. The price beats that of the high priced local hotels. The location is away from the town so, nice and peaceful and relaxing. There are hiking paths a short walk up the road, we used these a few times and it is a nice hike. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped with mini fridge and microwave. Loved the large deck and steam shower in the Tree top room and the access to main deck from the Manhattan project room (also loved the decor and fun history in Manhattan project room). Both rooms had a single room AC unit and ceiling fan. We ran AC as evening neared and made it fairly cool for good nights rest. Happy to have access to some light breakfast items (coffee freshly made and yogurt, hard boiled eggs, granola bars, bread/toast), as well as juices. Loved the billiard/library room and common room where we played some of the available games most nights. Saw some wildlife from Inn (mule deer, bear, lizards). Will absolutely stay here again if ever back in the area!
