We can't thank Marcos Montes and his team enough for the excellent service that they provided to us through the mortgage process. Our application was not straightforward, and at every stage they helped us to produce the strongest application possible. They were thoughtful, responsive, and customer oriented. We highly recommend Marcos and his team and will definitely use them in the future for our mortgage needs.

It seems as though these lenders are scammers. As a first experience of trying to get a home I trusted gateway mortgage in guiding me in the right direction. Terrible mistake. I lost more than $1,000 trying to close on a home. The worst part was having to tell the sellers and my realtor that we werent going to be able to go through with the purchase. All due to the actions of gateway mortgage. Please just go to a different lender. Definitely not worth the risk

If there was a zero star option I would give it to them. Ive been in the Real Estate business for ten years and this is the absolute worst experience Ive seen buyers (and sellers) go through. Its happened way too many times. It will begin with so much Optimism, they will give you an approval letter and tell you they have no problem closing you and then it all goes downhill from there. The underwriting process is rigorous and at the 11th hour they will delay the process over and over again making you provide document after document. Ive had to watch buyers crying in their car and on the phone because of delays literally on the last day before closing was supposed to take place. Buyers will have terminated their rental agreement, rented a Uhaul, and made arrangements for child care so they can close and move in and that all gets delayed, leaving people without a place to live and in some cases denying them at the last minute. The worst part is the originator Monica will completely ghost you and leave you wanting answers that you wont get until its too late. Costing you your deposit, your appraisal, inspection fees. its so sad when this happens, and it happens over and over again. If you are a seller and you receive a contract with Gateway as the lender, I highly recommend you prepare yourself for last minute delays, extensions, zero communication, and ultimately the possibility may have to terminate after keeping your home off the market for weeks - starting all over again. As I write this review, I have just had to inform my clients they wont be selling their home, they are now over $1600 in debt with a contractor for repairs they had to make as part of the inspection and now have to pay another months worth of mortgage. Gateway mortgage will never issue an apology or offer to help. This is a constant scenario and I cant in good conscience go without writing this review for any other prospective buyer or seller to see before ever considering Gateway mortgage for anything. The buying and selling process is supposed to be joyous and memorable. But with gateway it will leave you in tears, helpless, and in a horrible situation that youll not forget about. Do your self the biggest favor and seek another lender

Do not go through gateway mortgage if your representatives are Chris Miramontes or Marcos Montes. They seem to not have any clue what they are doing and conduct poor business. They falsely approved us knowing we had gaps in our work history due to covid, which led us to pursuing a property. We paid all fees that correlate with purchasing a home and when it came down to the last two weeks before closing, they denied us. They had all of our information for weeks yet they decide to finally half way do their jobs at the last minute. Horrible, horrible first experience. Thanks gateway. Note: Im not one to post reviews but what they are doing is shameful and down right incompetent. Avoid these two representatives and you might actually have a chance at a home.

I had so much anxiety when it came to purchasing my first home and Monica seemed to put me at ease every time. She went above and beyond for me to make sure I got my home. Honestly without her I wouldn't be a home owner. I appreciate everything Monica and her team have done for me!!!
