My mother was recently in their care. I could not have experienced a more positive result, from the the initial consultation and calls all the way up to and even since my mother's passing. My opinion is that they have an extraordinary staff who go about their work in a caring and compassionate fashion. All with whom I interacted were completely engaged and competent. I read a couple of the negative reviews before posting this. It's unfortunate that is their perspective; but it was by far, by far not my experience. A most sincere thank you to the entire team at Ambercare of Las Cruces from my family and I. Best Regards! j curtis

I dont know where or whom to begin with there at that place. Desire, the supervisor Cynthia, Socorro, shall I keep going? They are awful, rude, unorganized, unprofessional! They treat their employees like garbage, and more so the clients! Why do you think they are always hiring! Please do not go there as a client or to work!

After 4 yrs "the current one" gave co 2 weeks notice. However she nor the co did not notify me! REALLY! Could have used a "heads up"

We moved from Albuquerque and had to transfer to this office. That ended up being impossible because now for over a month my mother in law is still not in the system. The incompetence of ambercare to be able to handle this transfer was astonishing. Our first negative interaction was during the intake in my clients home. I was asked to leave the room and the lady was very rude to me. My husband and I hated that we could not be there to help my mom feel comfortable during the conversation as she has a hard time articulating and remembering things. Red flags became apparent as I went through the hiring process. I was told to arrive for my tb test any Monday at 10. I was having a hard time making it so I had been calling for 2 weeks trying to get permission to take a tb test through my physician. They did not answer the phone. 3 weeks later I arrive Monday at 10 and was told to come back the next day. I arrived and again was told to come back the next day. They were not apologetic nor compensate for my gas and time. Finally I got the TB test done and went through training. They rushed training fit two days into 6 hours. I did not receive any training on my clients needs. I only received first aid and CPR. We did not go over a lot of ambercares policies which I knew from Albuquerque. There was no OSHA training, no bed bath, or mobility assistance training. These people barely spoke to me. I also was refused to get my clients case file which is something I always receive working as a caregiver. I always receive a packet explaining the clients behavior, needs, and diagnoses as this is important for emergency calls. Finally they tell me I can start working. I go to clock in and I can't. We wait all the way for Monday to go in and see why. They say she's not in the system still. I was Also there to get time sheets and change my schedule. I was unable to ask the questions I needed answers to due to this lady Cynthia. She cut me off every time I tried to talk. I saw the lady who hired me and let her know I needed to speak with her. She invited me into the training room where I explained I did not have the on call number, my ADP login, and can't clock in. Cynthia took me in a room by myself and yelled at me that I can't just walk into the training room that she specifically told me they were busy. I explained to her I was invited in which she argued. I told her why I needed to speak with them that I wasn't provided an on call number. She argued saying I did and finally went to get it which she slammed down on the desk. By the time I got the time sheets it was too late to submit them so now I won't get paid for 4 weeks. At this point we will be dropping ambercare. .
