First American Bank

Ok so I've had my bank account t here for over 7 years at least. I've never had any problems and the staff is always friendly. The thing I absolutely LOVE about this bank and although some other banks may do this too, when we have our pup with us upon completion of our transaction at the drive through they ALWAYS send a BIG MILKBONE for our pup. THAT IS AWESOME don't ever change. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Last week I made a cashier's from First Financial, my banking institution. I took all of my account records with me to First American bank as we are in the process of buying a home and my partner banks with First American. The bank manager explained there would be a hold placed on the check, which I assumed was the process for depositing a large check, and we left. She did not mention any issues. This was around roughly 4 PM. At 9AM the next morning we were informed by the bank manager, Billy I believe, that the check was "no good" and my bank would need to contact her directly. At 9:30 I arrived at First Financial where they straightened out the issue and contacted First American to have my check returned. At this point my bank manager was informed by Billy that I had been reported to fraud and my check had been shredded. She never made a single attempt to call First Financial or myself, or anyone really for that matter. She didnt even wait 20 minutes foe me to drive to the bank. Had she asked when we initially took the check there I would have gladly showed her every account statement I had with me. I ended up having to call into work and spend an extra day in Las Cruces while my bank corrected her error. I truly hope that lovely woman has the holiday season she deserves. Albert the teller was very friendly. I hope he finds a less judgmental place to work, maybe try First Financial. Happy Holidays!
