Quality Inn & Suites Gallup I-40 Exit 20

If youre stopping in Gallup to sleep after driving, DO NOT STAY HERE. We pulled off to check in at 2am and asked for noon checkout. The woman at the front desk informed me that she put that in the system. We hung the do not disturb sign on our door and went to sleep. At 8 and 9 a woman walked into our room unannounced and woke us up. And then again at 10:30 and 11. The phone in the room conveniently didnt work, and after calling the front desk from my cell phone I was told checkout couldnt be any later despite the disturbances. I drive cross country regularly for work and Ill never stay here again and will warn my colleagues against this location.

Friendly staff. Clean room but I happen to get the wheelchair accessible room and while it was ok for me if I had needed accessibility features it would not have been grate. The toilet is so close to a wall you can barely sit on it. They have a shower chair but it does not fit in the tub. And there is not a bar where you would need one to get into the tub. The bathroom sink and counter are at standard hight. Towl shelf above the toilet would be a real stretch from a chair. And the curtains are open and shut using rods that would be very hard if not impossible to reach from a chair.

This place was right off of I-40. My concern was to be off the train tracks since the trains blow their horns all night long. The rooms were comfortable, the hotel was walking distance to a couple of restaurants, and the breakfast was a nice spread. UPDATE: I was in the area again, looking for a place to spend the night. Glad I did. Good place to stay.

We got a suite, The room looked clean. They called to make sure everything was good for us regarding the room.
