I have been to Red Doors Taproom in Clovis twice before, as well as their ABQ locations multiple times. They are among my fave beers out of the Duke City. Its nice to have relatively easy access to these brews only 80 miles from my home in the Texas Panhandle. I love the vibe of this taproom, as it is the food and beverage appendage of a bowling alley, an establishment that simply must have sustenance readily available. I have sat at this bar and imbibed on numerous froths from the Red Door collection. My only concern is that, while my brews this visit were certainly good, I learned that they now have a hard time actually getting Red Door beers, which are now apparently contract-brewed by Rio Bravo in ABQ. According to my server, they are lucky to ever have two Red Door beers at any given time. And so I quaffed my Red Door IPA, but then had to settle, if you will, for a hazy IPA from Santa Fe Brewing Company. Now, not to throw shade of that great brewery, its just that to round out their tap list, they have had to stir in brews made by others. All of which goes to say that the Red Door Taproom in Clovis has basically become a more generic taproom, with brews from numerous breweries. The beers are all good and that, but I suspect the days are numbered for this establishment to be named Red Door, especially with so little Red Door product. And thats sad, because I like this place! I just want more Red Door Beer, regardless of whomever is brewing it for them. Its that good.

Took my family out for a fun night and had the worst experience. We ordered 3 sweet teas and fries, and the server threw the fries at the table never said who's they were. Then still waiting for our sweet teas but server adrian brout out alcohol drinks before people who order after us, Adrian very unprofessional tried to talk to him and was ignored by him. The bowling ally nor that red door is a kid friendly environment. Won't be back!!

2024 Edit--USED TO BE Best kept secret in Clovis! If you try the dirty fries, you will probably never order anything else off the menu, but I hear it's all amazing! Nice laid back atmosphere, great food, inspired taps, and friendly (but stressed out, spread too thin, understaffed) service that still does their best to please. I hope those in charge see my edit & heed my observations. Stop killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Stop expanding and cultivate and showcase what made you great. Your staff is EV.ER.Y.THING. When you have good people don't run them to the ground. One cook and one server/bartender on a weekend shift is not enough, but they were doing their very best. They need to be exalted and rewarded. If you can't get and/or keep good staff, you need to 1. analyze why and 2. Roll up your sleeves and help those loyal ones remaining. Investing in your employees will never be a regret. Red Door has all the raw ingredients to be a great place if someone will step up and acknowledge it's potential instead of grinding it down to nothing while expecting it to support other ventures. Kid-friendliness: It's a brewery. You can take your kids there but there's not a lot of kid centered atmosphere.
