Baymont by Wyndham Carlsbad NM

Its a place to stay, but barely. The sink in the bathroom didnt drain properly. It was draining but very, very slowly, to the extent that we used the sink in the evening and there was still some water in it in the morning. I told the person at the front desk about it and she said that thats just how the sinks are and that you need to pull out the stopper. Its the kind of stopper that is normally connected to a lever to open and close the drain, but there was no such lever on the sink. I guess youre just supposed to reach in and pull it up whenever you want the sink to drain? We were on our way out at that point so I didnt experiment, but to me a sink that drains normally is a must. I hope they got their money back from their plumber. The bedspread and shower curtain were dirty and/or stained. There was not good sound insulation and we could clearly hear the baby next door throughout the night. If youre in a pinch, its an okay option, but I recommend looking elsewhere if you can.

Rafael (the GM) was such a hospitable host for our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast every morning was nice. Recommend staying here if you want a comfortable place to stay thats close to the National Parks.

My wife and I highly recommend this hotel. Clean, staff provided fantastic service and the breakfast was very good!
