Highly recommend her She is very good. I don't understand the negative reviews as she has always listened to me and worked with me. I really respect her.

An insensitive, unethical, and ultimately abusive "doctor." She did not hear me, countermanding my express wishes against the explicit guidelines of the DSM5 (as I later discovered). She went "over my head" to prescribe a powerful medication for a condition she suspected but had NOT diagnosed, asserting a different purpose without explaining that it was "off-label," and assuring me that it had no side effects. She promised to address any problems I had, "day or night," but when I called 8 days later with debilitating symptoms, all of them among the listed side-effects, she could not be reached, and remained unavailable in the following weeks. Though at that stage I did not blame her or even complain, she proceeded to cover for herself expertly but did nothing to help me, and was ultimately caught out in her compounding lies. Meanwhile, she violated my HIPAA rights by coercing my therapist by email into soliciting and passing on information from our confidential sessions, clearly seeing me as a threat to her position; a paranoid and self-indicting behavior, not to mention illegal. This physician clearly saw me as a "problem" to be solved, not as a human being, showing no concern for my wishes or greater welfare and ignoring the evidence of my actual needs. I could go on at much greater length: suffice to say I was harmed by her "care," mentally and physically, and my long-standing trust in medical doctors--as the son of a responsible physician--feels like a permanent casualty.

My husband has bipolar and his doctor had retired and we were assigned Dr. Rubinchik. We saw her two times. The first time we went we were not very impressed but we thought we would give her a chance. We saw her this week and my husband was having trouble sleeping. She recommended a low dose of an SSRI. My husband told her the SSRI'S made him switch. She basically ignored him and said it was a very small dose for sleeping and it shouldn't be a problem. He took the medication and he switched. We spent the night in the ER. He has been stable on his medication for 15 years and never switched. I would highly discourage anyone to see her. She doesn't listen to the patient and thinks she knows better.

Sofia Rubinchik is a stoic heartless person. I do not recommend her for anyone as their doctor. She does not listen or care.

Dr. Rubinchik is an excellent provider with great diagnostic skills. I highly recommend her. If you are looking for someone to hold your hand - look elsewhere. If you need a good psychopharmacologist, I think she is fantastic.
