Horrible experience. Dr Poonani has little to no knowledge in the medical field. I went in for a tennis elbow and instead of diagnosing my pain he offered me oxycodone. Im 22 years old man I do not need heavy medication like that. Do yourself a favor and go to a real doctor.

Don't develop any complications and expect a call back from Dr. Poon because once he's done with his two week follow-up tele-visit you are SOL.   I called his office at week 4 and 5 to report excruciating pain after a radio frequency ablation of C2-5 and at week 5, his office staff (Erica) called me back to say that Dr. Poon stated to give it a couple more weeks.   I called back at week 7 to report that the pain in my head, face, and neck had not subsided and that I was experiencing stabbing pains in my temple and right eye.   I never heard back.  I am now going through acupuncture, massage, and chiropractic to get some relief.   in addition, he has very poor communication skills and is not in the least bit compassionate.  He confused me with another case during my two week follow up.   He also did my procedure without viewing any current radiology reports and told me he targeted "the most common ones".   I am left with a c5-6 neuropathy that he didn't treat because he saw fit to treat something else that was not even reviewed on films.   He has a medical assistant who I had to ask to walk me out the door because of dizziness.  No registered nurse or critical thinking here.  His assistant stated that "they usually begin on the left side" when I reported that it was my right side that was troubling me.   I feel like he's just grasping at straws with no solid evidence of what pathology he's treating.   I don't trust him and I am filing a complaint to the NM Medical Board.  Do yourself a favor a find a real doctor.

Was a client prior to Dr Poon taking over. First experience was awesome with prior Dr. went back to have another treatment and Dr Poon. Was not helpful and want to do multiple sessions before completing treatment. They did not share any of this info when I made my appt prior to my visit. Shared my dissatisfaction with him and have not returned. Left to look for another specialist with out remedy.

Just liked him from the beginning.. easy to talk to, explained my pain. I felt so much better, after I was given a shot. My sciatic is what was really giving me a lot of problems. And he explained in detail of everything involved. Feeling great after seeing him.
